Colorado’s Zero-Waste Stores Make Responsible Consumption Easier

Our Happy Beetle community is constantly striving to reduce waste, but it’s not always easy! Modern living has not created a clear path for those with sustainable lifestyle goals. For example, grocery and convenience stores as we know them today have evolved to rely heavily on single-use packaging, and many people don’t have much of a choice when it comes to purchasing those products. After all, people need to eat!

Luckily, the popularity of “Zero-Waste'' stores is growing in the greater Denver area, and they are creating a solid market for food and convenience items that can be purchased without all the extra packaging. One can bypass the single-use packaging by bringing along jars, bags, or containers (which many of these stores sell, making the process a lot simpler and less intimidating for a first-time shopper).

Below we are highlighting some of the Zero-Waste options in and around Denver where our Happy Beetle customers can begin (or continue) their zero-waste journeys! For more information about each individual store, click on the name to be directed to their website.
